Jarred Stevens, LMHC
Jarred Stevens is a licensed mental health counselor who earned his master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Southern New Hampshire University in 2021. Before earning his professional degree, Jarred spent 20 years in non-profit community mental health providing direct support and operational leadership in acute behavioral health and group home care. He has operated in both direct care and supervisory spaces when supporting children and adolescents with significant behavioral and emotional challenges.
Jarred’s primary interest group includes adolescents and transitional age youth, young adults and middle-aged persons struggling with emotion identification and latent anger expression. Jarred specializes in areas of ADHD, anger management, anxiety and depression, as well as multi-stressed systems work. He enjoys working with families and couples to address underlying issues that have contributed to symptom presentation and strained relational dynamics. Jarred utilizes a relational approach that prioritizes the therapeutic relationship while also integrating evidence-based practice. Also, Jarred pulls from emotionally focused, practical, and relational techniques to address underlying challenges facilitating problematic personal and relational dynamics in relationships and coupling dynamics.
Jarred's clients can expect him to be reliable, relatable, and balanced in his energy presentation. He has a sense of humor that is often peppered with real life application. He has an openness to experience and inclusivity providing culturally aware and affirming care to clients across the lifespan. Jarred is a LGBTQIA+ informed provider and ally.
