About
Bethany Connolly
Bethany is an independently licensed clinical social worker (LICSW) who has worked in the field of behavioral health for over 20 years. Bethany has extensive experience collaborating with complex teams across and within stressed systems including non-profit community mental health and substance abuse. She has also served in multiple clinical roles in both residential and acute care programs for children and families. In these roles, Bethany has performed individual psychotherapy and family therapy with clients across the developmental lifespan including children, adolescents, and adults.
Bethany practices individual psychotherapy from a client-centered, relational, and trauma-informed lens. Her family work is based on systems theory that is rooted in relational and therapeutic interactions. In line with this, she has comprehensive training in working with clients who have single and repeated exposure to trauma, institutional racism, and discrimination, as well as marginalization by larger protective agencies and systems.
Bethany treats mental health disorders including, but not limited to anxiety and depression, mood disorders, PTSD, ADHD, substance abuse and addiction, as well as co-occurring disorders. She values cultural competency and is an ally to and affirming BIPOC and LGBTQIA + groups.
Bethany’s services are Telehealth. She works primarily in the evenings.
Berin Psych values what it takes to become a skilled mental health practitioner. Recognizing and appreciating the efforts of our team establishes a practice of care that extends to clients served.
As such, mutual respect is a building block in our foundation.
