Dr. Anna Berin earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2007. She went on to earn her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) from William James College in 2013.

Dr. Anna Berin founded Berin Psych Inc in July 2022 after completing a 15-year tenure in the non-profit community mental health sector. She was seen as a transformational leader who led by example. She performed within the boundaries of an institutional design aimed at executing the mission and vision to serve children and families across a myriad of clinical settings.
She has contributed to both local and systemic change in areas of program development, change management, and culture transformation. This led to successfully building teams and programs that shifted service delivery from a behavioral lens to trauma-informed practices across children's residential services.
For years, Dr. Anna Berin has valued and provided clinical supervision and mentorship to countless professional and paraprofessional staff. Her primary focus has been to build capacity and self-awareness. She embraced having both authentic and difficult dialogue about needs and strengths, identifying roadblocks and making way for change. In doing so, Dr. Anna Berin discovered that her passion extended beyond direct care service. This translated to her creating and developing opportunities for clinical practitioners to expand their access, skills, and professional reach.
Dr. Anna Berin established Berin Psych with multiple goals in mind: First, to meet clinical needs of children and adults in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Second, to ensure that that the community of clients served felt that the care they were receiving met their standards (and ours). Third, to offer mental health practitioners an opportunity to incorporate work-life balance into their life and to feel fulfilled in their career through compassion and meaningful connection.
Dr. Anna Berin continues to pave the path in shifting the paradigm of work culture to emphasize employee voice and visibility, inclusivity, and mental health awareness. She believes that to improve job satisfaction, employee retention, and productivity there must be shared values in establishing and maintaining healthy relationships.

Similarly, Dr. Anna Berin understands that the care of all clients' is dependent on the health of the providers. This parallel process comes full circle to ensure that the care our clients receive is comparable to the work and efforts that are channeled into our healers.
